Overview of The Plans
- CarePlus’ CareOne Medicare Advantage Plan is an HMO plan with a $0.00 monthly premium and $0.00 primary care visits, in most cases.
- The CareOne Plus plan is similar to the CareOne plan, but with enhanced benefits. The CareOne Plus is offered only in select markets. Similarly, the CareOne Platinum plan offers enhanced benefits over the CareOne Plus plan.
- Since it is an HMO, you will be required to use a Primary Care Provider, and use network doctors.
- The CareOne plan may be an excellent choice if you want a Medicare plan that offers ancillary benefits like hearing, vision, and dental coverage.
- An HMO may not be a good option for those that routinely travel.
- Similar to CarePlus’ CareOne plans, the CareFree plan offers $0.00 monthly premiums on most plans. In addition to low cost, the CareFree plan also offers a Part B premium refund.
- Every month, you pay your Part B premium of $170.10 (2022). CarePlus’ CareFree plan will refund all or part of this charge, directly resulting in increasing your Social Security check! The amount varies by location, so talk to an advisor to find-out how much you can get back.
- Now, this plan generally offers all the same great benefits as the CareOne plans, but you will see higher copays for specialists and other services.
- If you use a lot of medical services, this may not be the best option for you. However, if you are only a moderate user of your healthcare, you may benefit from the additional cash.

- This CarePlus plan is specifically designed to accommodate Medicaid recipients, often referred to as a Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan. D-SNP’s have all the same features and benefits as many other plans, with exception to the Part B premium refund.
- Generally, D-SNP Medicare plan members do not pay a monthly premium, or copays (depending-on the members Medicaid level). Most of CarePlus’ D-SNP plans offer vision, dental, and hearing benefits in addition to the features and benefits offered by their non D-SNP plans.

- For those with chronic health conditions, CarePlus’ CareComplete C-SNP offers benefits specific to a person’s condition, i.e., chronic heart disease or diabetes.
- These plans coordinate care in a more targeted manner, and may even offer individual treatment plans in an effort to generate better health outcomes.
