Humana Giveback PPO Florida 2027 changes are important for Medicare beneficiaries who currently receive a Medicare Part B premium reduction. Several Humana Giveback PPO plans will not return in Florida for 2027, but Humana is continuing to offer other Medicare Advantage plans, including the Humana Essentials Plus Giveback (PPO) in eligible counties.
Which Humana Giveback PPO plans are ending?
CMS 2027 plan crosswalk reporting identifies Humana Full Access Giveback PPO plans H5216-393 and H7617-111, as well as Humana Direct Choice Giveback PPO plans H5216-452 and H7617-112, among the Florida plans ending for 2027. This does not mean Humana is leaving Florida or that every Humana Giveback plan is discontinued. Your exact plan ID and county matter.

Comparison note: The discontinued plans are a group of distinct 2026 products, not one uniform plan. Figures shown for Essentials Plus are for 2027 plan H7617-126. Other plans with similar names and different IDs may have different benefits. Confirm current plan documents and availability for your ZIP code before enrolling.
What does a $92 Medicare Part B Giveback mean?
A $92 monthly Part B premium reduction can represent up to $1,104 annually for someone receiving the full reduction for all 12 months. It reduces the Part B premium you owe; it is not an additional cash benefit paid by the insurer. A $0 Medicare Advantage plan premium also does not eliminate the standard Part B premium or other healthcare expenses.
Is Humana Essentials Plus Giveback a good replacement?
It may be worth comparing if you want to retain PPO flexibility and a Part B premium reduction. However, a giveback amount alone does not determine the best plan. Compare whether your doctors and hospitals participate, how out-of-network visits are covered, whether your medications are on the formulary, the total annual cost of care, and dental, vision and hearing benefits. PPO out-of-network providers generally must agree to treat you, and costs may be higher.
What should current Humana members do?
Review your Annual Notice of Change and any plan termination notice. Check the plan’s exact contract and plan number, then compare 2027 options available at your residential ZIP code. Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7, 2026, for coverage beginning January 1, 2027. Members whose plans terminate may also qualify for a special enrollment opportunity; verify the applicable dates and rights with Medicare.
